Network drives in reports
  • darkcondarkcon January 9

Hi. I didn't find any mapped network disk drives in reports of my node (Manual scan, network agent scan). I see only Local and removable disks. Can the Network Inventory Advisor give me such information or I'm doing something wrong?

    Hello,

Please, make sure that you've specified the login and password of the user account under which you have created a network drive. Note that the mapped drives are tied to each user. Also, please, try to enable "agent free method (RPC/DCOM)" option ("Settings" -> "Connection" tab).

Let us know the test results.

Thank you for your advice! Enabling "agent free method " really helped me. But when I generate the reports and exporting them I don't see any network names in that reports. Only export in HTML format contains this information. How can I get names and paths of mapped network drives (e.g. \\server\sharedfolder) in exported reports?

Please make sure that the latest build of NIA is installed on your PC. You can download it here: http://www.clearapps.com/download.html

Please try to build Tabular report: go to Reports tab and click "Tabular" icon on the ribbon -> Choose the assets you would like to build the report on and press Next button -> Choose columns -> select:

"Volumes & Partitions" -> "Network volume path" -> Add.

    Then press "Build Report" button.

If the problem persists, please, send your [C:\Program Files\ClearApps\Network Inventory Advisor\Information] folder to help@clearapps.com
