Can't run software summary from the Network summary
  • integraintegra April 2011

NIA has crashed several times today so that may be the cause of my problem.

Whats occuring is that, when I click on 'Network Summary' on the left hand side and then on 'All Software' it displays a message saying 'This data section is disabled, please go to Settings to change this'.

However in settings -> performance, the "do not build 'all software' report" checkbox is unmarked

In Settings -> Windows reports all options are selected except hotfixes, modems, pnp entities, environment variables, running processes and services

I have created a number of groups for the nodes and on each of these I have a created a software summary without problems. Its only on the main node that I can't do this.

    Any solution?

Can you rescan only this node? Does this report show up then?

    aha, yes that worked.

Suggestion: You should add a 'rescan node' or 'update report' to the right click on the node.

Isn't this an error that it says that its disabled when its not?

Well theres only one option in the settings, which covers all nodes.

If its disabled then you can't build summaries. If the button to build a summary is available when you click on any one node then the option must be enabled... no?

What I was seeing was that I had 4-5 new nodes and in some I could build a summary and in others it said the option was disabled.

    This doesn't make sense.

This doesn't make sense to me either. Can you send me a couple of screenshots: help@clearapps.com ?
