I am a newbie to NIA. I import and scan for my Actice Directory. The problem being that not all the computers are on when the scan occurs so they are not added to My Network. I can manually add the Asset nut when I scan My Network it misses the manually added assets. Won't even attempt to scan them.
How do you manually add assests and get them to scan when you scan your network? -
Manually added assets cannot be scanned, they are added manually, and won't have an IP address assigned. If you need to scan IP-powered nodes when they become available on the net, you should use either a scanning scheduler or scanning with an agent utility for Logon Script in your domain. That's quite simple, check the agent exporting options. Manually added nodes are used when you can't scan something (like your office furniture or Windows Mobile assets).
