Access Denied: After failing to retrieve Microsoft Product ID

    I've got one computer in a workgroup that fails to complete the scan and ends with Access Denied. This workstation is my computer so I know without question the login credentials, open FW ports, etc are correct. What happens is the scan begins, it starts to gather data (NIC, HW adptrs, etc) but when it gets to 'Retrieving Microsoft ProductID' it hangs a few seconds then starts the scan over again. The scan goes through 3 times then fails with Access Denied.

    The workstation is Windows 7 Professional: running VMWare with a virtual Win2003 server running NIA. Any ideas??

    Does the same error take place if you scan the node agentlessly and using the self-deployed agent utility?

    Agentlessly: Yes, the same error occurs.
    Self-deployed:No. If I export the agent and run it locally it works fine and I can import the information to NIA fine.

    Figured it out...Had to create new firewall rules to open TCP/UDP ports
