Same machine scan with different IP

    Hi there,

    How can I scan machines again when they have an new IP-Adress, because our Laptops will get their IP-Adress with DHCP? Will they be recognized by NETBIOS or Machine Name?

    Dear Al,

    Please, enable "Connect by node's DNS name" option in Settings.

    Launch Network inventory Advisor -> Settings -> Connection, disable "Connect by" - "Try both connection methods if one fails", and enable "Connect by node's DNS name" checkbox -> OK.
