We get back to adding this feature after every update, hoping it will appear in the next one. And we get delayed and distracted again. I'll raise this internally once more, locating license codes of third-party applications is not a simple database/technology to handle. We do have some algorithms completed already though. I'll keep you posted.
This feature would sell it for us... We have been asked by a couple of software houses (AutoCAD included) to supply licencing information for their products eg; username, hostname, software product version, serial or licence number. At the moment, we are having to audit our network, then use a serial recovery program on each PC where the software was found.
If this is not possible, we have purchased some software that recovers licence keys and supports command line operation. Could you allow the output of this program to be integrated into the audit results somehow?
Actually, we already have this implemented in an internal release. Please email us at help@clearapps.com and request the build of Network Inventory Advisor that supports license audit. Refer to this thread, please.
